About Great Lakes Signal Aces

The Signal Aces is sanctioned by the AMA as club number 1685. The field is located between Wissmiller Rd and Pine River Trail, at 3345 S Barlow Rd, Mikado, MI.

We are lucky enough to have a beautifully manicured, privately owned field where the grass runway measures roughly 140 feet x 400 feet and has very few obstacles in the immediate area. Starting stations are provided along with a shelter to get out of the sun or rain.

Many types of aircraft are permitted to fly at the field including airplanes, helicopters, drones, radio control, control line and free flight.

Meetings are typically held (during the flying season only) on the second Thursday of the month starting at 6:00pm, with flying afterwards. Additionally training from club instructors is available on Thursday evenings (weather permitting) for anyone interested in our hobby.
